Put Your West Foot Forward is a project run through the Health Improvement Team and focuses on health walks around west Lothian.
A programme of walks for April to September 2012 is now available. See our Healthy Weight page for more details.
Being able to cook is one of life’s basic skills and having a balanced diet is important for good health. Learning basic cooking skills can help people have the confidence to make meals for themselves, it can help with budgeting, it can provide the knowledge to make informed food choices and make positive changes to their diet and that of their families.
‘get cooking’ is a project which aims to overcome some of the barriers to eating a healthy diet. It is part of West Lothian’s CHCP and is funded through Social Policy. We are based within West Lothian’s Health Improvement Team.
The project aims to deliver practical cooking skills groups based on the principles of healthy eating throughout West Lothian. It also provides training to the community and staff in West Lothian in Nutrition and Food Skills.
